Mercedes-Benz And Nvidia Want To Make The World’s Most Advanced Autonomous Cars





Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA want to make the world's most advanced autonomous cars. They plan to implement an in-vehicle computing system and artificial intelligence (AI) computing infrastructure that will roll out across the next-generation Mercedes-Benz fleet starting in 2024.

Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz AG and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, made the announcement at a digital media event on June 23, 2020.

The new infrastructure will enable perpetually upgradeable automated driving functions and the ability to automate driving of regular routes from address to address. Every next-gen model will have the highest performance NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin solution and be capable of a wide range of automated and assisted modes from day one and during the car's lifespan.
